Bed bugs are often very difficult to control, even for some exterminators. Not only do bed bugs reproduce and spread rapidly, but some bed bug populations are resistant to chemical treatments. At Interstate Pest Management, we have a 5-step bed bug treatment system when it comes to eliminating and preventing bed bugs.
5-Step Bed Bug Treatment System
Our seven-step bed bug elimination system combines the following services to get the results you need:
- Steam machines: The most recommended method for bed bug elimination, steam can kill bed bugs at all stages without the use of chemicals.
- Insecticides: For advanced infestations, chemical applications may be necessary because they can target hard to reach areas.
- Bite-proof mattress encasements: These are helpful for protection against entry and escape of bed bugs on all sides of a mattress.
Bed Bug Steam Treatments
A great tool we use at Interstate Pest Management is our steam treatment machines. Like heat treatments, steam treatments use heat to kill bed bugs at all stages, including eggs. But unlike bed bug heat treatments, steam doesn’t have to heat the entire room. The steam is focused specifically on the area where bed bugs are present, penetrating the surface, killing bed bugs that may be hiding in cracks, crevices, and underneath the fabric. Steam treatments are an environmentally friendly bed bug treatment option and are safe on your hard and soft furniture.
Professional Bed Bug Treatments
Bed bugs are wingless insects and can’t fly or jump–but their flattened bodies make it easy to squeeze through small areas like deep inside mattresses and furniture. For that reason, the most effective inspections are conducted by a qualified bed bug control professional. Here at Interstate Pest Management, we are one of the few companies in the country that are Certified Bed Bug Free–a certification awarded to companies who commit to regular certifications and proactive customer service!
When you call on Interstate Pest Management to handle your bed bug infestation you can trust that our experts will arrive at your home with the right equipment, training, and certifications to handle your problem – and to keep it gone, for good!
